Citroen announce exciting changes to the DS5 vehicle
Citroen has adapted its option list for the DS5 model, which include lower emissions as well as improvement to the model’s exterior appearance.
The new Citroen DS5 is the first production model introduced by the brand to feature Hybrid4 full diesel hybrid technology. This month, Citroen are offering new options to the Citroen DS5.
As a no-cost option, 17-inch ‘Houston’ alloy wheels are available with the Hybrid DStyle and DSport versions.
As the 17-inch ‘Houston’ alloy wheels have a smaller diameter than that of the original wheels, the car’s CO2 emissions are now reduced to 99g/km from 107g/km.
The entry-level DSign Hybrid4 model also benefits from the reduction of CO2 emissions, which ultimately means that both cars are now exempt from the London congestion charge.
Drivers that commute to the capital 5 days a week could make annual savings of £2,600. Drivers will also benefit from a reduction of the BiK rate to 10% from 12%.
For the DS5 HDi 160 DStyle & DSport models, two new Signature packs have been confirmed by Citroen.
Priced at £650, the Sport Signature and Dark Sport Signature packs offer lowered suspension (by 7mm), black or grey 19-inch ‘Cairns’ alloy wheels for the Dark Sport Signature and the Sport Signature respectively, as well as black door mirrors.
Customers of any DS5 THP 200 versions will be pleased that the striking Dark Sport Signature is now a standard specification at no additional charge.
The Sport Signature pack is also available as an alternative no-cost option for all DS5 THP 200 versions.
To reflect the power increase to 115hp from 111hp, the New DS5’s e-HDi 110 Airdream EGS6 powertrain has gained a new name: e-HDi 115 Airdream EGS6.
Despite the power increase, the CO2 emissions, fuel consumption and drivetrain performance figures are unaffected.
