Lamborghini veneno named the ugliest car in history
The Lamborghini Veneno was one of the most talked about new car models at the Geneva Motor Show last month, but it was also one that heavily divided opinion.
Only three Veneno’s were made in total for the princely sum of £2.6 million each, and all three were actually sold before the Geneva Motor Show itself.
The Lamborghini Veneno can go from 0 to 60mph in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 220mph.
In terms of specs, it is packed with a V12 engine and seven-speed automated manual transmission, with permanent all-wheel drive and five drive models.
But it seems that despite slapping an expensive price on and making such a limited amount isn’t enough to impress everyone, after the Veneno was named the ugliest car in history by automotive website Edmonds.
The website said: “Every supercar cliché and every bad idea Lamborghini ever had, stuffed into one overpriced showcar.
“Mercifully, only three will be made, which is still three too many.”
The Veneno has been widely described as being akin to the Batmobile and our own Editorial Manager David Sargant saw it first-hand in Geneva and described it as “ugly, big and a bit pointless – but credit to Lamborghini for having the guts to go through with it.”
