Release date and prices confirmed for the new Range Rover Sport
The Range Rover Sport has been a new model that has gathered plenty of attention this year.
We had the initial camouflage spy shots of it in testing on the roads, the first snippets of information and its grand unveiling at the New York Motor Show, alongside a live launch with James Bond actor Daniel Craig.
And now ahead of its UK debut between 8-12 May at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, we have the official prices and release date!
There are four equipment grades and the new entry level Range Rover Sport SE will be priced from £51,500.
It will go on sale across the UK from May 2013 and order books are now open.
In terms of engines, you get a pick of three, which are the 254bhp TDV6 and 288bhp SDV6 3.0-litre turbo diesels and the 503bhp supercharged 5.0-litre V8 petrol.
In terms of equipment, with the SE, you get leather upholstery, automatic lights and wipers, dual climate control, Terrain Response and voice control, amongst others.
The other three grades of the Range Rover Sport all come with a further boast of equipment to their increase price tags.
There are a lot of extras with all, so we’ll give a brief overview for each.
The HSE is priced from £59,995 and includes 20-inch alloy wheels, heated rear seats and paddle shift controls, while the HSE Dynamic starts at £64,995 and adds stainless steel pedals, twin speed transfer box and torque vectoring.
Finally, the Autobiography Dynamic includes interior mood lighting, Meridian Surround Sound and adaptive cruise control, with prices starting from £74,995.
If you are considering a new car purchase, getting a car on finance could be an option.
