The new Audi A3 Saloon is revealed
Details of the Audi A3 Saloon have been unveiled ahead its launch to the UK public this summer.
The new model is a four-door version of Audi’s A3 hatchback and is seen as a rival to the Mercedes CLA 45 AMG.
There will be a choice of engines, which include a 138bhp 1.4-litre and 178bhp 1.8-litre TFSI petrol engines and a 148bhp 2.0 TDI diesel engine. There will also be the choice of two gearboxes, a six-speed manual or twin-clutch S tronic.
It times of size, the Audi A3 Saloon is 4460mm long, 1796mm wide and 1416mm high with a wheelbase of 2400mm and it has plenty of boot space with 425 litres.
Its design has been described as “a cross between the classic three-box concept and the coupé philosophy.”
The Audi A3 Saloon will go on sale this summer, with deliveries starting in the autumn, although as of yet prices have not been confirmed.
The Audi A3 Saloon will make its debut at the 2013 New York International Auto Show this week.
The New York International Auto Show officially starts on March 29th and runs until April 7th. This year is the 113th anniversary of the event, which is held across nearly 900,000 sq ft and will showcase 1,000 vehicles.
