Car Loan 4U make 2014 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 ranking
Car Loan 4U is proud to announce that it has been included in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2014, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
To determine the fastest growing companies, the DTTL TMT (Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications) global industry group calculated the percent revenue growth over the past five years. Making this list is a major accomplishment for the number one online car finance company, based in Macclesfield*, who are one of 66 UK companies to make the list.
“Making the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA ranking shows Car Loan 4U’s commitment to innovation and pushing the industry forward,” David Halstead, Deloitte UK and partner in charge of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA programme. “With almost a 400%** growth rate over five years, it has proven that its leadership has the vision and determination to grow in a highly competitive market.”
James Wilkinson, Co-founder and CEO at Car Loan 4U who rank 432nd in the overall, international list commented on the achievement, “When we started trading in 2006, our ambition was to revolutionise the car buying market by giving the UK public a fairer deal and taking the stress out of car purchase.
“Our customers bought into this ideal from the beginning, however the reason we have got in to the Fast 500 is due to the significant changes we made to our business in 2012, when we automated the customer application process. Since then, we have experienced 100% year-on-year growth and have completely changed the motoring sector’s perception of the car buying process.”
It has been a great year for Car Loan 4U. In February, it secured £8M investment from Scottish Equity Partners and in March achieved 83rd place in the Sunday Times Best Small Companies to work for survey. In April, the business appointed David Kelly, formerly of ebay, Amazon and lastminute.com as Chariman and this Autumn ranked 30th in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 list.
Of the nations represented in the Fast 500 ranking, France was the most represented country for a fourth consecutive year, followed by the United Kingdom and Sweden. The software sector represented 42 percent of the overall rankings on this year’s EMEA Fast 500, followed by the Internet sector with 21 percent.
CEO James Wilkinson continued, “The Fast 500 rankings illustrate the continued growth of online businesses and we believe excellent online customer experience will be the key to our continued success.”
