Zutonites take on the Manchester 10K
We’re raising money for charity again, we just can’t stop ourselves! This time it’s a bunch of enthusiastic Zutonites from our Macclesfield office who will be pushing through the pain barrier to make it through 10k in the glorious city of Manchester on 22nd May.
Our thirty-strong team is signed up to run and their pain is the Prada-Willi Syndrome Association's gain. As regular blog readers already know, the PWSA is a cause close to the hearts of Zutonites because of our CEO James. He has personal experience of this rare genetic condition through his eldest son Jimmy, who was diagnosed five years ago.
The syndrome makes life tricky for Jimmy, causing a number of developmental issues, as well as making him feel ravenously hungry all the time. And as the PWSA is the only organisation in the UK that supports those affected with practical help and advice about the syndrome, it’s a truly worthy cause. If you’d like to sponsor our 31 runners, you can do so by visiting their JustGiving page. Any and all donations and sponsorship gratefully received.
The Great Manchester Run will be live on BBC two from 11am-1pm on Sunday 22nd May, with highlights to be shown later in the day. If you’re heading into Manchester to cheer on from the sidelines, our Zutonites will be easy to spot in their PWSA running tops – please do take a picture and post it on our twitter or Facebook pages using the buttons below.
