Why have you changed your name from Car Loan 4U?

  2. A default user image

When we started out in 2006, we wanted a functional name that described accurately what we did. Car Loan 4U worked perfectly back then but now we do more than just help people to secure a car loan so we’ve decided to change to Zuto.

hi there, i am looking to buy a car for around £2500,but i have saved up some money towards a car i only need a loan of £1500,would it be possible to get the £1500 loan and pay the rest cash? or do i have to get a loan of £2500 so you guys pay the whole amount?

  2. A default user image

    Hi Kevin ,

It's great that you've saved a deposit. Our minimum lend is between £1500-£2000 (after a deposit is paid), any deposit paid is payable to the dealer and we’ll finance the rest. The amount of finance you can get will depend on who you get an acceptance with, as some lenders have different minimum lends, and some might only be able to finance £2000 and upwards. If you apply we'll be able to give you a more definite, personal response and talk to you about your options, to see if we can find something that works for you.

Hi there , I'm a serving soldier and I would like to buy a car on finance but because I'm in the forces this sometimes makes it hard to gain any finance for such a thing! I would like to borrow around £4000 over 48 months! Are there any fees to be paid once an application has been made and how long would it take before I could purchase a car? Best regards

  2. A default user image

    Hi Erick,

We do have several finance companies who will consider applications from people currently serving in the forces, however you will need to have a UK residential address and not a permanent barracks address. Zuto don’t charge fees for our services and the average deal normally takes between 2-4 working days from start to finish. However if you want to take more time you can.

Hi Can i buy a car from private seller as well or only from dealers ?

  2. A default user image

    Hi Michael,

A private sale may be possible but will depend on the finance company we gain the acceptance with, as some allow it. There will also be criteria in place, so it will depend on the car. Have you made an application yet?

I just want to enquire about a loan for a car and see the chances of being accepted are. I have a fair credit rating and a salary of 21500. I am after a loan of about 5000 over 5 years.

Hi Stuart,It certainly sounds like we’d be able to help you, based on the information you’ve provided. If you want to submit an application you can do it here, it’s no obligation and you’ll have a chance to chat with your advisor before committing to anything.

hello i was wondering if i can upgrade my car even though im still paying for finance on my existing vehicle.

  2. A default user image

Thanks for your question! The way this situation works is you'd have to use your existing car as part-exchange and the dealership would pay off the finance on that vehicle. If you apply and we can arrange finance for you you'll get a personal advisor who'll be able to help you work out the details.

Hi, my partner and I want to replace our car but I do not drive. We both have poor credit but I am in full time employment and he is currently unemployed. Can we apply for finance in my name with him as the registered keeper?

  2. A default user image

Hi Irene, we have 2 or 3 lenders who might be able to help, depending on your circumstances. We recommend that you apply in your name and enter your husband's details as a joint applicant and we'll see what we can do.

  1. A default user image

I've only ever used the finance that the dealership gives me, and it's always a joint loan with my husband. Can I apply to you? I usually spend about £4000 on my car.

  2. A default user image

Hi Debbie, of course you can apply to us. Hopefully we can save you money! If you want to apply as a joint applicant with your husband that's absolutely fine, or you can apply alone. Having a joint applicant can help if you're worried about being accepted.

Will you give me a better offer than a bank or dealership, or are you like a payday lender?

  2. A default user image

Hi Mae, rest assured we're not like a payday lender. If we give you a finance offer you will have plenty of time to look at the rates and compare them to other places, and in general our APRs are very competitive. We do in fact work with banks such as Barclays and Santander, and we have exclusive products with lenders which aren't available on the high street, so it's worth applying with us to see what we can offer you.

Hi I've not ever used car finance before. I'm 18 but I work and have £300 saved up from my job. Can you get me a loan?

  2. A default user image

Hi Leona, congrats on saving up a deposit, that will definitely help you. Some of our lenders can help people of your age but you will need an excellent credit rating. Have you used any other types of finance, like a loan or credit card? It might help if a parent can be a guarantor on your finance. If you need more information about this you can arrange to speak to one of our advisors for some more detailed advice or use our online chat.

Hi, I'm self-employed but own my own home and have a decent income/credit rating. I'd like to spend around £40,000 on a car, can I apply to you for finance?

  2. A default user image

Hi Malcolm, thanks for getting in touch. From what you've said I'm sure we could help you. We might need you to provide some proof of income for the last 3 months, but in most cases being self-employed isn't a problem, especially as you have a mortgage and good credit history. Put in an application and we'll get in touch to tell you if we need any paperwork from you.

Hello Zuto. I currently drive an Audi which I got on finance. Can you help me refinance it? Does it matter that you didn't do the finance? Thanks.

  2. A default user image

Hi Julia, it shouldn't be a problem. We do a lot of refinances and they're usually straightforward! Just fill in the application form or if you'd prefer you can call in and ask for more advice.

I've seen a VW Passat I want for £15,300. Is it ok to buy the car somewhere else or do I get the car from you? It's a local car dealer.

  2. A default user image

Hi Graham, yes that's fine. Unlike other car finance companies we don't sell cars, so you have more freedom about where to buy from. Your local dealership should be fine, just give the details to your personal advisor and they'll check it out and do the rest.

My car broke down last week, it's not worth much as scrap or part-ex according to the places I've asked. I don't have a deposit saved up but need a car quickly, will it be a problem that I don't much cash to put down?

  2. A default user image

Hi Sumera, sorry to hear about your car troubles! The good news is that most of our customers don't need a deposit, and we try to get you in a car as quickly as possible. Usually our customers car drive away in 2 to 4 days.

I had a bad experience with buying a used car which needed loads of work done and the dealership didn't help, so next time I bought a new car. It was written off a few months ago and I've got a payout, but it's not that much so I'd rather not stretch my budget again to a new car. I'm still nervous though of buying a new car - the last time it cost me a lot and the dealership was horrible. Can you help me find a good used car?

  2. A default user image

Hi Sophie, sorry to hear about your bad experiences. It's a shame when some dealerships ruin the car buying experience. With finance arranged by us, you can buy your car from any dealership and we've got a list of recommended ones if you want help finding one. We also do a vehicle history check and check out the dealership to make sure everything's as it should be, and we're here to provide aftercare and support once you've bought your car too. If we offer you finance there's no obligation to take it and you can chat to your personal advisor about your concerns.

Hi I've applied for some credit cards and loans in the last couple of months and they're on my credit file. Will a car loan application hurt my file? Can I get a loan without a credit check?

  2. A default user image

Great question Dave, and something a lot of people worry about. When you first apply we do a soft search which isn't visible to other lenders. If it's obvious we definitely can't help you we'll tell you. These "soft searches" do not affect your credit rating like a hard search might. We're a responsible finance broker and like to make sure you can afford what we're offering, so if it looks like we can arrange finance for you a hard search, which will be visible to lenders, will be done at some point before your finance is paid out.

Is it ok to use the car finance to buy a van?

  2. A default user image

Hi Jose, we actually have a team who work just on finance for other vehicles, including vans, and also motorbikes and other vehicles. If you put in an application then you can chat to the team about what you need and they'll do their best to help you.
