Finding finance with bad credit?

Finding finance with bad credit

It’s still possible to get on the road.

Can I get car finance with bad credit?

If you don’t have a great credit file or have experienced problems in the past, you could still be eligible for car finance today. At Zuto, we work with a panel of lenders to help people in a variety of circumstances. We put you in control of your car finance so you only borrow what you can reasonably afford.

Who we can help

There are many causes of “bad credit” so our car buying experts will always look at your individual circumstance when you apply.

Tips for applying with bad credit

There are a few steps you can take which will improve your chances of being accepted, and also help you to get a better deal on your vehicle finance.

● Catch up any payments you may have missed on other loans or borrowings.

● Offer to provide a deposit for your new loan. It’s not always necessary, but it usually helps to build the lender’s confidence.

● Consider a joint application. If your spouse, partner, or someone at your address has good credit, it may increase your chances by applying together.

Does applying affect my credit rating?

When you first apply, your car buying expert will do a ‘soft search’ on your credit history, which is not visible to other lenders. If it’s obvious that we can’t help you, we won’t pass your application to a lender, and your credit profile won’t be affected. If we believe that you might be accepted by one of our lenders, we’ll pass your application to the lender we believe best suits your circumstances. They’ll then do a recorded (hard) search. On average, two recorded searches are likely to be done during the process. It is important that you ensure the information you provide to us is accurate to enable us to match you with the most appropriate lender. Inaccurate information could result in your application being sent to a lender who would not consider your personal and financial circumstances which would result in additional credit searches being recorded on your credit profile.
